Rusty's Funeral

Today was Aman's Uncle Rusty's funeral. It was a little stressful. Not all the family talks to each other. I was worried how it would go. Amazingly it went without a fight. It was a nice service. Rusty's daughter Maxine was there. She is a wonderful little girl. It was so nice to finally meet her. We got her number and told her we would get a hold of her when we are in Florida. I also got to catch up with relatives over lunch. It was a really great time of catching up and hearing stories. I hope we can get together again soon.

This week I met a awesome teenager. My friend Angela's daughter was visiting from Arizona. We had such a fun time. We went shoe shopping and goofed around. I was totally amazed by this girl. She reads, gets good grades, and she talks like a mature adult. She is only 14 but is wise beyond her years. I am gonna miss her like crazy. It is nice to meet someone who is a teen who doesn't talk in gibberish and can spell. She gives me hope for teens.Goofing around at the Icing Store

Shopping with Shelby

I went shopping with a 10 year old girl yesterday. It was crazy. I felt like I was wearing Mom jeans and suggesting everything she hated. It was like a big look into what my own childhood must of looked like. Mom and I didn't go shopping together that much, but I am sure I was just like Shelby. It made me so grateful I have boys. I am sure they will be hard to shop for teens. In the mean time I will enjoy the peace and quiet and the simple choices of either blue, red or orange. Girls have too many options, and too many opinions.

Yes folks we are going to Disney. Not putting dates online kinda keeping that private. But Oh yeah I will have me some mouse ears!
