Bumpus Reunion

This was the 39th year for the Bumpus Reunion. The kids had a good time. That is when they weren't getting sick. We had boys with fever, puking, and diarrhea. We made it through the weekend till Sunday morning. Then we kind of gave up and came home early. It was a good decision because by the time we got home David had a very high fever. I gave him Ibuprofen and it came right down. So far this morning they are doing better an no fever yet. Hopefully it was just a bug and has worked its way through.
Next year is the 40th reunion and my family is in charge. If things stay in this pattern next year the boys will be healthy. Two years ago the kids had Chicken pox. Last year they were healthy. This year the flu. So next year they should be healthy. :)

Preschool

Back to preschool time. David is registered for his 3rd year. Guess what! He got a new teacher and it is in the morning. Mrs. Daily is his teacher and I think his aide is Denise. David is going to have the same class as the little girl next door.
So he can ride the bus and do therapy in the afternoon!
Yippie!!! SO SO Happy!
David got to see both his old aides at school registration.

Trip to St. Louis

We took the boys on a mini vacation to St. Louis. It was a spur of the moment thing. It went well. We got to St. Louis on Saturday and and relaxed at the hotel. We went past the Arch. Adam said its a rainbow. :) That made me laugh so hard. I had never thought about it but yeah it kinda does look like a rainbow. I didn't take any picture of us while we were in St. Louis. We just all enjoyed the experience.
The boys were good, the hotel was awesome, the zoo and the brewery were great!
I had a really awesome time, but boy was I happy to be home!

Fun with paint!

David's new OT therapist told us to play play dough and beans. Also to paint and use our hands.
So we did. :)

Summer Fun has Begun!

So this is the first week off from School! Yeah I am excited! Not so much because I want to be home all the time with both kids. More because I want to not have a deadline type of schedule everyday.
David starts Occupational Therapy this week. He is going to alternate Tuesdays between OT, and PT. He will still have Speech every other Friday. Grandma Ginnie "Granny" is going to start watching Adam on Tuesday while I take David to therapy.

This past week was a sad one. Aman's Step Grandpa died. Aman and I went to the visitation/funeral on Saturday. While I was at the visitation I looked over and recognized someone. My cousin Nancy was there. At least I was pretty sure it was her. It is hard to know for sure when you only see that side of the family once a year. I asked Aman's Step mom Marianne who the woman was and she said that is my cousin Nancy. I said she is my cousin too. Weird. So I went over and said Hi. I had to explain who I was cause I think she was just as thrown off by my being there as I was with her. I got to see her son Kermit also. Hadn't seen him since we were like 12. I do now get why he is named Kermit though. It was his Grandpa's name. At least I think I have that right.

Anyway, I gotta get off here and clean the house so the kids can trash it.

Its been a while

My Mothers Day Present

I know it has been a while since I last posted anything on here. There hasn't been to much to report. The kids are the kids. They are making me nuts. Aman has been working his tail off doing farming and seed stuff. First it was planting, and delivering seed. Now it is dealing with replant and getting it delivered to customers. Right now he is trying to teach the kids how to play trouble while I type this. School will soon be over, and yes I am very excited to get a break from it. I am hoping to keep busy this summer and visit friend and relatives. That way it won't feel like it is weeks of being stuck here in the house. The boys have been going to Wednesday night church. They love it. So hopefully VBS won't be such a struggle with them this year. Last year Adam cried nightly when he was dropped off. David's Spring photo should be back soon so I will put it up on here when we get it.
